The Switch Costs $25. The Renewal Gap Is $100.
A clean Nebraska registered agent setup for $99 per year. You get the office address on file, scanned legal mail, and compliance reminders ahead of state deadlines.
Disclosure, up front: Nebraska Registered Agent.co sells the service this page compares against, at $99 a year. ZenBusiness figures come from a July 2026 check of their published rates.
What They Do Well
The software. Best account experience in the category, and it is not close. Clean signup, a dashboard that explains itself, deadlines shown where a non-specialist will see them. If that matters to you, it is a legitimate reason to pay more.
We do not compete on software. We compete on one address, one scan queue, one price.
The Two Numbers
- Year one bought on its own: $99, plus whatever the state charges
- Year two and onward: $199
Only the second one describes your future. Nebraska wants an agent named for as long as the LLC exists, so year two is where you actually live.
The gap between their renewal and ours is $100 a year.
Nebraska's Fee Menu Is Short
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order HereHere is the whole list of what this state will charge a Nebraska LLC around its registered agent, and none of it is a subscription:
- Moving the appointment: $25 filed online plus a small portal fee, $30 delivered in writing
- The biennial report, odd-numbered years only: $25 online plus that same portal charge, $30 on paper
That is it. Nebraska's most expensive option on either line is thirty dollars, and the five-dollar spread exists only because paper costs the office more to handle than a file upload does.
Now set the two lists beside each other. One ZenBusiness renewal is $199. The state's entire annual footprint on an established Nebraska LLC, averaged across the biennial cycle, is about $12.50. The vendor is the expense. The state is a rounding error.
The Filing Pays for Itself in Thirteen Weeks
$100 a year of difference works out to a little under two dollars a week. Nebraska's fee to act on your decision is $25, which is thirteen weeks of that difference. Every week after the thirteenth is money you keep.
Not the lowest price in Nebraska, to be exact about it. BetterLegal prints $90. We are nine dollars above the published floor, and we stay there at renewal.
Nebraska Removes ZenBusiness for $25
One filing does it, under Neb. Rev. Stat. § 21-114. Four steps:
- Sign the new agent first. They have to be either a person living in Nebraska or a company cleared to transact business in the state, working from a real Nebraska street address. A PO box may be listed next to that address. It may never replace it.
- Complete the change statement. It is the document Nebraska uses for a designated office, a registered agent, or an agent's address, and a domestic LLC files the domestic version. Entity name has to match the state's record character for character. No form number exists; Nebraska numbers none of its forms.
- File it and pay. The Business Services Division of the Secretary of State takes it, $25 online plus the portal fee or $30 in writing.
- Watch the record change, then cancel. Not before. ZenBusiness holds the appointment until Nebraska records the replacement, which is the mechanism that prevents any gap in coverage. Cancel on the day the public listing shows the new name.
One thing people get wrong on arrival from other states: the biennial report will not carry this change. Nebraska keeps agent updates on their own filing, year-round.
What $99 Gets You
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order Here- A Nebraska street address of ours on the state record, keeping yours private
- Scanned the day it lands, emailed the same afternoon
- Reminders before the odd-year report window opens
- Portal access to every document we have received
- A renewal invoice reading $99, permanently
One Decision, Made Once
The $199 renewal is a bet that switching is more trouble than it is worth. Nebraska priced the trouble at $25 and one form with no number on it. That is the entire counterargument.
