Nebraska's Act Names One Job. The Subscription Sells Ten.
A clean Nebraska registered agent setup for $99 per year. You get the office address on file, scanned legal mail, and compliance reminders ahead of state deadlines.
Who wrote this: Nebraska Registered Agent.co, a $99-a-year competitor of the company named in the title. Rocket Lawyer's rate below is what we recorded in a July 2026 pricing review.
Two Things in Their Favor
First, the price does not play games. $125 a year, and it is $125 at every membership level the company offers. No teaser rate, no tier where the identical service costs more. That is rarer in this industry than it should be.
Second, the platform is not vapor. Templates, attorney consultations, a document library. A business that opens it monthly is getting something we cannot match, and should probably stay.
The Job Nebraska Actually Names
Search the Nebraska Uniform Limited Liability Company Act for the phrase registered agent and you will come up short. The act does not use it. What it names is an agent for service of process, and the Secretary of State's forms do the translating into the phrase everyone recognizes. Nebraska never adopted the model registered agent legislation that a lot of states run on, so the vocabulary here is the uniform act's own.
The duties under that heading are short:
- Hold a Nebraska street address, with a PO box permitted beside it and never instead of it
- Be reachable there during ordinary business hours
- Accept lawsuits and state notices, and pass them along
There is no fourth item. No template library, no consultation allowance, no membership tier. The state's entire interest in your agent is that a process server can find a person at a Nebraska address on a Tuesday afternoon.
Twenty-Six Dollars, and We Will Not Inflate It
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order Here$125 against $99 is $26 a year. Fifty-two across one Nebraska report cycle. Two hundred sixty over a decade. Small, and pretending otherwise would cost us more credibility than it could possibly win.
The structural question is the one that matters. If the platform sits unopened, that $26 is the visible part of a larger figure you are paying for shelfware, and the honest comparison is not $125 versus $99 but the whole bundle versus the one function you use. If you do use the platform, keep it. That is a real answer and we will give it.
To be exact about the low end: a $90 annual rate is on BetterLegal's site, under ours. So $99 is a low Nebraska price, not the lowest one.
What It Takes to Leave Rocket Lawyer in Nebraska
One statement, going to the Business Services Division of the Nebraska Secretary of State, updates the agent and the addresses tied to the appointment. Twenty-five dollars covers an electronic filing, with the portal's own small charge on top; a written one is $30. Nebraska does not number its forms, so there is nothing to look up, and the biennial report is not an alternative route: agent changes travel on their own filing regardless of the season. The domestic LLC version is the one a Nebraska company files. Every field is broken down on our change of agent page.
Appointment order is the piece not to improvise on. Get the incoming agent contracted and holding a valid Nebraska street address before the statement is submitted, because Rocket Lawyer remains the named agent right up to the point the state records the swap. That is precisely what closes the gap: one agent on the file, then the next, with no interval in between and no day when a summons has nowhere valid to go. End the subscription after the public listing updates.
The Narrow Product
$99 a year buys a Nebraska address on the record, a person behind it through business hours, anything served scanned before we close, a reminder ahead of the odd-year report window, and a portal holding the whole file. Nothing stacked on top. If the agent function was the only part of a wider subscription you were using, this is the unbundled price of it.
